ITI-RCS COMPOSITE RADOMES

A radome functions as a protective cover for a radar or other type of antenna system. Composite radomes are optimized for minimal RF attenuation while offering structural, environmental, and visual protection from weather and other harmful events that an antenna system may encounter.  Utilizing a radome allows for less maintenance and more up-time for your antenna system.

ITIRCS composite radome panels are constructed using a sandwich laminate.  The laminate is tuned according to the structural and operational requirements of the site and the specific antenna operational frequencies and other electrical requirements. The radome is segmented into panels that are easy to transport and handle by installation personnel.  During installation, the panels are bolted together from the interior using stainless steel hardware to complete the radome.   The segmented sphere becomes watertight through a panel flange gasket and a sealant applied to the panel joints during installation. Our radomes are built to last, they have an expected service life of up to 20 years with minimal maintenance required by the end user.

Our radomes have been supplied to government and commercial users for a large variety of antenna systems.  Some of the applications we have provided solutions for are Satellite Communications Terminals, Weather Radar, 3D Military Surveillance, Telemetry & Control & Satellite Tracking, Air Traffic Control Phased Array, and Secondary Surveillance. We also cover shipboard applications and tactical on the move mobile platforms.
